Meet Dr. Halina
Born and raised in Johor Bahru, Dr Halina Haron has been practicing dentistry full time since 1988 upon graduating from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She earned a Master of Community Dentistry from the same university in 1995. She was with the Armed Forces for more than 14 years, holding the rank of Major (Dr) before going into private practice in 2002 in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
During her term of service in the Malaysian Armed Forces Dental Services, she travelled extensively within the country and abroad for professional purposes to present her research papers including in an international conference during the World Congress for Preventive Dentistry in Cape Town, South Africa. She also presented her papers at the local university and had been invited to contribute dental articles for the local medias. She had since been sought as dental subject articles contributor by numerous local magazines and newspapers, such as Majalah Rapi, Pengantin, Mingguan Wanita, Pa & Ma, Mami & Baby, Fokus SPM, Mastika, Nur, Sarina, Berita Minggu, Mingguan Malaysia, New Straights Times. Dr Halina had appeared on national television in programmes such as TV3 Malaysia Hari Ini, NTV7 Breakfast Show, TV1 Respon. She also was on air on Radio Angkasapuri RTM.

Dr. Halina is registered with the Malaysian Dental Council and the Malaysian Dental Association. She was the Secretary of the University of Malaya Dental Alumni Association (MUDA) for five years since its inception in 1996.

Being a compassionate and caring person, she also takes part in humanitarian and community projects involving shelter homes and under privileged children, as well as the handicapped people.
